Preliminary scores are holistic editorial comparisons. We consider build and performance, everyday usability, support and warranty, and value over time. We do not present measured category subscores without evidence for each one. Scores are comparison tools, not laboratory certifications.

How research is labeled

Research-based verdicts use manufacturer specifications, manuals, warranty and service policies, installation requirements, reputable third-party reporting, and category comparison. “Hands-on tested” appears only after direct use or inspection.

Corrections

Products and policies change. Material corrections are made when confirmed, and guide update dates are displayed where practical.
